Who we are
A family learning to love like Jesus
The Gathering ATX is a community of believers in Austin who want to love people the way Christ loves His church: fully, faithfully, and with open arms.
Love like Christ
We spread the love of Christ as He has shown it to His church, with grace, truth, and a welcome for everyone.
Grow together
Faith grows in community. We open the Word, pray, and encourage one another to become more like Jesus.
Do life together
Shared meals, hard seasons, and ordinary days. We show up for each other, not just on gathering days.
Share Him everywhere
We carry the good news wherever we go: our neighborhoods, our workplaces, the park, and the springs.
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Where to find us
Look around for us
Sometimes we’re baptizing new believers. Sometimes we’re out at Zilker Park with games and the grill going. We gather as the Spirit leads, so look around for us.

The Gospel
Believe
Glorify King Jesus. Here is the good news we gather around.
Made in His image
God is eternally good. From the depths of His boundless goodness and love, He created us as His beloved family, in His image and likeness.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:27
Darkness, then light
The great deceiver, Lucifer, veiled humanity’s eyes, chaining spirits in bondage and concealing our identity, until light pierced through the darkness. (Genesis 3)
Jesus made the way
Jesus, the only Son of God, entered into flesh, defeated Lucifer, and put the devil to open shame, triumphing over him. He flung wide the doors to unbroken fellowship with the Father, if you will give up your old life and choose to make Jesus your King.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:16–17
Who He says we are
Jesus declares us to be redeemed, royal, and radiating His light. We have His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. We walk in what He empowers us to do: heal the sick, cast out devils, make disciples, and set the captives free.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.
Mark 16:16–17
One with Him
Bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh, we are inseparably His: one spirit with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Enter the family of God through Jesus. There is no other way.
